New Cache Types and Icons!

Geoaching.com has recently reorganized some of their cache types. From the Geocaching.com blog:
"The Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration is renamed the Geocaching HQ Celebration. This will be the cache type for the Geocaching 20th Anniversary Celebration in Seattle. We intend to host an event every 10 years with this icon.
Also, the Lost and Found Event Cache is now the Community Celebration Event, with a new look. This is the icon for events that enable cachers to commemorate the 20th anniversary around the world during 2020."
Mygeocachingprofile.com now recognizes these new cache types.  We've also updated profile images with the new cache type icons now used throughout the geocaching.com site.  You'll see these new icons the next time you upload your My Finds PQ to refresh your stats.

Let us know of course if you have any questions, problems, or suggestions!  You can contact us at contactus@mygeocachingprofile.com.  Enjoy!

New SC DeLorme Map and Cacher Ranking Stat for Birthday Cache Finds!

Two newly released features on the site!
  1. South Carolina Edition 4 DeLorme Map - Geocacher "DDSRN" was kind enough to pass along the longitude/latitude information for the SC edition 4 DeLorme map.  The map now exists alongside a profile section for earlier editions of the SC DeLorme.

Do you have a DeLorme map that doesn't match the page layout/coordinates for the current state map on mygeocachingprofile.com?  If so, let me know and we can work together to get a map up and running on the site!  Just email me at contactus@mygeocachingprofile.com.
  2. Cacher Ranking by Birthday Caches Found - The Cacher Rankings page now includes rankings based on how many Birthday Caches you've found.  You get credit for a birthday cache when you find a cache on the anniversary (or birthday) of the day it was placed!
Questions?  Problems?  Suggestions?  Poison Ivy?  Just email me at contactus@mygeocachingprofile.com.  I respond to every email and use YOUR suggestions to guide development on the site!
