New Traveling Caches Profile Section

A new Traveling Caches list has been added under the My Memorable Finds profile section. Traveling caches change location periodically so each cacher may have found the cache in a different location.  Unfortunately the My Finds PQ only shows the traveling cache's latest location, not the location where you found it. Therefore, mygeocachingprofile.com can't know where you specifically found the cache and traveling caches can't be counted toward maps and other location-specific statistics.

However, now fans of these moving caches can show off how many they've found by including the Traveling Caches list in their profile.  This section is turned off by default, but if you'd like it to appear in your profile, check the "Include Traveling Caches Section in Profile" box on the "Build My Profile" page under the My Memorable Finds heading.  Then, upload your My Finds PQ to generate the latest stats, and do a one time copy/paste of all your profile HTML from the "Preview and Export Profile" page over to your geocaching.com profile.

We rely on the community to keep an updated list of traveling caches, so please Contact Us if you know of any that are not on our public list:  My Geocaching Profile.com - Moving/Traveling Caches List

And as always, please Contact Us with any questions, problems, or suggestions!

All the Remaining US State County Maps Have Been Added!

The remaining 26 state county maps have been added to the site!  All 50 state county maps are now available.  Like the previous maps, these new profile sections use the 2010 US Census Bureau's information for county boundaries.  If you notice any problems where a cache is being marked as belonging to the wrong county, please Contact Us with the cache name and the county it should appear in and we can fix it in our system.

Also, if you'd like any of these new maps to appear on your geocaching.com profile, remember to check the "Include Map" box next to the map on the "Build My Profile" page, upload your My Finds PQ to generate the latest stats, and then do a one time copy/paste of all your profile HTML from the "Preview and Export Profile" page over to your geocaching.com profile.

As always, please Contact Us with any questions, problems, or suggestions!

If you have any questions or problems with the new feature - Contact Us or visit our Help page.
