Track Your Progress on the Pennsylvania and Washington DeLorme Challenges

We've added profile sections for tracking your progress on two new DeLorme Challenges: PA and WA. Upload your latest My Finds pocket query file on the My Account page to have these new images generated. Remember, since these are brand new sections, if you want them to appear in your geocaching.com profile, you'll need to also export your profile to HTML and copy/paste it into geocaching.com. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us!

New Profile Section - United States County Map

We've added a new profile section to the site - a map of the United States showing each state county that you've found a cache in! In addition to the map, the section also displays how many counties you've cached in compared to the total counties in each state. It's quite a challenge to get all 3141 counties, but we're sure someone out there is working on it!

As with all new profile sections, you'll need to 1) upload your "My Finds" pocket query to generate the profile image and 2) re-export your HTML code and re-paste it into your geocaching.com profile if you'd like to show off your stats. The "My Finds" upload/analysis will take a bit longer now to create this new image, but remember, you can always upload your file to start the analysis and come back to the page later to see your progress. You don't have to "sit" on the page while your file is analyzed!

Two Improvements

Two improvements to the site: 1) Country, state and DeLorme maps now exclude moving/traveling caches. Since a unique "traveling cache" type doesn't exist with geocaching.com, we've created an exception list that serves as a master list of all moving caches. If you see any missing, please let us know so we can add them. And 2) The pocket query analysis now runs much faster! This should save some time for cachers with lots of finds to process.
